Model Casting

So who's coming to our model casting??

Clothes Horse are on the look out for models for their upcoming fashion event. We're looking for models that embody the River Island style and attitude. No experience required, so if you think you've got what it takes come along and show us why you should be on our catwalk.

Look out for free bottles of Vitamin Water and other goodies too!

Rosette Design Competition

This is the perfect way to keep yourself occupied over the Easter holidays, apart from eating lots of Easter eggs of course!

The Brief

Using the template provided, create your own design for a rosette. It can be as adventurous as you wish; use fabric, paint, pens, anything – be creative! If you’re feeling really brave you could event make your own rosette from scratch.

This competition is open to children aged between 7 and 11. Bring along your rosette on the day to be judged for an exciting prize.

Clothes Horse are incredibly excited to announce that Vitamin Water will supporting our event and supplying us with lots of lovely drinks! So make sure you pick up your bottle at our model casting and on April 27th because its just too good to miss out on!

Fashion Design Competition

To discover the best fashion talent on offer in Epsom, Clothes Horse are launching a competition for all you budding fashion designers!

The Brief

Inspired by current trends and the signature River Island style, design and make a jockey’s shirt that could be seen on the catwalk. Your design can be for menswear or womenswear and as imaginative as you wish. Bring a friend to model your design, or model it yourself on the day in order to submit it.

There will be a special guest judge to choose the winner. 1^st prize wins River Island vouchers and 2 tickets to Graduate Fashion Week.

Entry Requirements

Open to age 15+

Submit an A4 moodboard with your design to show us your inspiration & ideas.

Make sure you bring someone to model your design and style it appropriately because the look will be shown on the catwalk for judging.

Please arrive promptly at 5.30pm to be able to submit your entry

Please confirm by Thursday 1^st April that you are entering the competition - provide your name, age, school and contact details to riclotheshorse@gmail.com

An update

So we haven't posted anything in a while so we thought we better give an update as things are beginning to get really exciting! Do you like our mini logo? Look out for it on flyers and other info as well as our lovely carousel horse (both drawn by the lovely Louise).

So we've been having lots of meetings recently, deciding about all the exciting things that'll be happening on the day of the event, as well as some brilliant pre-events to get everyone in the Clothes Horse spirit. Watch this space in the coming weeks for information about pre-events and competitions to be involved in - we've got some fantastic prizes up for grabs for the winners!

Also, as a heads up, if you're a budding musician get practising because we might need you!

A date for your diaries!

So, if you're following us on Twitter you'll know that we've finalised a date for our event! If not, Clothes Horse will be held on Tuesday 27th April at Epsom Downs Racecourse. Take a look at the racecourse at www.epsomderby.co.uk. We can't wait for you all to see it!

As you may have noticed, we have got a lovely new logo, courtesy of Louise. Look out for it in Epsom and on Facebook for more exciting info about the event. We've also finalised our first flyer today so keep your eyes peeled for it, and we'll post it up here for you soon as well!

Our first post

So, today is the day! We found out that we are through to the next stage of the River Island Rocks competition. Talks are already underway for locations and other exciting things so we will keep you updated!
